Nationwide Adoptathon Next Weekend! PetSmart Charities Holiday National Adoptathon is Nov. 12-14!

Hi everyone, PetSmart is holding a national holiday adoptathon next weekend. All PetSmart locations nationwide will be showcasing animals that are hoping to go home to a happy home this holiday season! Over 18,000 shelter animals will be helped by this event. I was adopted from a shelter, so these events are really important to me. Shelters are not fun, and I'm proof that adding a new friend to your family is a great decision.

Adoption hours will be as follows:
Friday, Nov. 12: 9am-9pm
Saturday, Nov. 13: 9am-9pm
Sunday, Nov. 14: 10am-6pm

Please keep this event in mind if you're planning on welcoming a pet to your family!

Last night was really boring. I finished the 3rd season of Dexter at like 2am, and I had too much Bailey energy in me to sleep. I figured I'd chew on my computer's power cord for a while to kill some time.

Maybe this wasn't very well thought out. How am I going to blog if I can't turn on my computer? Luckily I have another computer, though I've chewed through that power cord too. And the camera to post this picture of me with my trophy? I chewed that almost all the way through too.

That's just how I roll. I'm Bailey.

Petco National Pet Food Drive! Open Thru Nov. 14!

Petco is launching a national pet food drive from Nov. 5-Nov. 14!

Please donate any sealed bags or cans of cat/dog food and cat litter to any Petco nationwide. The food goes to local food banks and animal welfare groups!

Since March, the program has provided over 110 tons of animal food and litter to animals in need!

This food drive gets the Bailey seal of approval. Please donate if you can!

This is my mom, Gracie. She had me really young and she lived in a shelter until Chris and AG saved her. She was really skinny for a long time, but now she's a lot healthier. She likes to carry socks and dishtowels around and give them to us as presents.

The quest for catnip is not archeology, it's a race against evil. If it is captured by Bailey, the armies of darkness will march all over the earth!

Today I started my day with a generous portion of Blue Buffalo $20 baller food with a floater of Friskies on top.

Some may think this is luxurious. Alas, I simply demand more. Here's a list of the things that I've managed to get my paws on and what I expect at future meal-times:

I Pooped My Pants

So I was chasing flies today, which is one of my favorite snacks, and Chris realized that I pooped myself. Being the caring persons that they are, Chris and AG decided they would wash my ass for me in the tub.

Once I got in the bathroom, I saw the tub running and started flailing around like a fish out of water. Once Chris dunked me in the water, I decided the best move would be to bite him. Bwah hah hah, I got my canine deep into the meat of his hand, and after he screamed and let me go, I thought I was in the clear, but then AG cleaned me up while Chris tended to his fresh Bailey-wound.

Once he tended to his hand, Chris decided that we should let bygones go and he fed me some turkey so I would feel better with my wet ass.

I'm back on the couch now, plotting my ambush of a fly. Be back soon with more shenanigans!

Hi! Iiiiiii'm Bailey!!

Aah, to introduce myself and all my glory.

I'm adopted.

I live with my all-knowing master (He makes me call him that), Chris, and my mom.

Shut up. Lots of dudes live with their moms.

Chris has this girl AG over a lot, I think she's some sort of a mate.

I'm about 18 months old and I look like a Persian and Himalayan mix. I'd be more handsome but my mother's just a regular grey and white tabby.

I spend most of my days sleeping. You can usually find me on the floating stairs.

I dine on pricey natural food in the mornings and evenings.

I have many toys but I gravitate toward milk cap safety tabs and plastic wrappers.

As for my past? My first memory is being in a foster home. AG knew the people there and she brought Chris to see us.

My mother was a young, single mother. I had four siblings but I think the state took them away. I recall adoption papers. Something about my siblings going to some families my master knew.

As a kitten, I was the only one who wandered too far on his own. I would climb tall boxes and get scared. But once I mewed, my mom would come looking for me.

Sure, our relationship now is often strained and we fight a lot, but we always end up napping near each other and eating meals together.

OH! I think the street cat, Angel, is on my porch. Gotta go investigate. More updates on my life on the edge to come.
